Greetings and welcome to our new website,
This new web tool is meant to be the first step in our efforts to more proactively interact with our customer community. In addition to this Blog, we will be reaching out to you all via web based networking tools such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and a regular offering of Webcasts that will provide product education, information on the return on investment (ROI) statistics for GigaBeam technology, case studies and an ever increasing collection of success stories--all aimed at improving your GigaBeam experience.
You should notice that the new website is application oriented and has easier access to product and technology information. I encourage each of you to review all parts of the website and also to get registered on the site as there will be additional pages available to registered GigaBeammers.
The message we wish to communicate to you is that we are no longer just a wireless equipment manufacturer with a single product offering but a solution shop, with a diverse set of wireless products as well as design, planning and implementation services. In short, we are here to help you solve your communication needs.
Over the past 18 months, while not forgetting our roots in the upper millimeter wave space of 70/80 GHz, we have expanded our product portfolio to include products spanning spectra from 2 GHz to 90 GHz, with payloads from a few T1 equivalents to Gigabit Ethernet. With this new portfolio we are now able to remedy more single link requirements as well as build out turnkey wireless communications networks; we have been successful with both.
A brief summary of our products is as follows:
- Gi-CORE – our original backhaul offering operating in 70/80 GHz spectrum and capable of a sustained full duplex 1.25 Gb/s payload
- Gi-FLEX – our 6 to 40 GHz backhaul offering, which provides a choice of spectrum use, can go longer distances and still deliver up to 248 Mb/s payloads under FCC rules, up to 300 Mb/s under ETSI rules
- Gi-LINX – our 4.9 and 5.8 GHz access offering, with up to 108 Mb/s payload, point to point and point to multi-point configurations
- Gi-MAX – our 3 GHz 802.16d fixed Wi-MAX offering
- Gi-MESH – our 2/5 GHz 802.11x meshed Wi-Fi offering
In addition, we have expanded our service offerings. GigaBeam can help you with nearly every aspect of your wireless network including:
- Spectrum planning and interference avoidance
- Overall system design from towers to roof tops and up to OSI Layer 3 network logic.
- Training, so that if you would like, you can do it yourself.
I sincerely hope that you all find this site to be a useful resource. There will be additions forthcoming including search, FAQs, and on-line design tools to name just a few. In the mean time, if you have questions, comments or requests for features, we would love to hear from you.
